Frequently Asked Questions

How is the amount of the parking ticket calculated?

The amount of the parking ticket consists of the parking fee payable for at least one hour, plus administrative costs.

The system is unable to find my parking ticket. How is this possible?

Your parking ticket will show up on the website 8 hours after it is issued. If you check the website before that, your parking ticket will not yet be online. We recommend opening the website again at a later time.

I am being asked for an assessment number. Where can i find this?

The assessment number is found at the top of the parking ticket. This is a 12-digit of 14-digit number. The first six digits of this code indicate the date, the next four digits indicatest the time at which the parking ticket was issued.

The parking ticket says additional levy. Wat does this mean?

Additional levy is the legal term for a parking fine. You did not pay (enough) parking fees (parking tax). We charge this tax by means of an additional levy (parking ticket). We require you to pay the amount due including administration costs.

I have submitted an appeal. Do I still need to pay the parking ticket?

Yes, you first need to pay the parking ticket and CANNOT wait until it is determined whether your appeal is well-founded or unfounded. If your appeal is declared well-founded, we will refund the amount to your account as soon as possible.

Within how many weeks do I need to submit my appeal?

After the parking ticket is issued, you have 6 weeks to submit an appeal.

I do not agree with the amount of the parking ticket. Can I submit an appeal against this?

I have received a parking ticket. However, I never visited this location. Can I submit an appeal?

You can always submit an appeal against a parking ticket. However, you need to provide proof that you were not present at the relevant location with your car at the moment the parking ticket was issued. Our parking inspectors check your data based on the data known about your car at the RDW. If it is plausible that this data matches and is accurate, it is pointless to submit an appeal.

No, there is no point in submitting an appeal. Appeals that indicate that the pay and display machine was defective are not granted. I have received a parking ticket while I was loading and unloading. Is there any point is submitting an appeal?
